holy goodness. this is IT. i accidentally discovered a revolution in southern cuisine. hot pecan pie. cold sharp cheddar cheese. seriously, if i ever had a restaurant, it would become my signature dish.

the combination of flavors, textures, and temperatures is astounding.
i’m betting heather would like it…homegirl used to love her some shredded cheese.
i remember her eating it for dinner when we went to FCA camp. every night. good times.

rebecca…I usually bow to the mightiness of your cuisine knowledge….but cheese on your dad gum pecan pie?! Now, why in the love of all things holy would you go and ruin a perfectly good pie like that?

I’m not knocking your creation, I just want to know where you got this idea.

i was shredding sharp cheddar to go on a squash casserole. my little pecan pie sample was cooling on the counter beside me, and i thought, “hmmm. i wonder what THIS would taste like?!?” i dare you to try it.

oh I’ll definitely try it….it may be a one time event, but I’ll at least try it. But hey you never know, this may become my favorite thing to eat!

I’m so glad we’re in the South, where it is socially acceptable to put cheese on anything and everything! I’m intrigued and might just have to try it!
