Crazy Love Kicked My Tail, Part One.
Morgan warned me, but this book totally rocked my world. Unlike this book that I couldn’t put down, I had to put Crazy Love down for hours at a time because I couldn’t get my brain around what it said. Here are the first three quotes that messed me up. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
“When I am consumed by my problems – stressed out about my life, my family, my job – I actually convey the belief that I think the circumstances are more important than God’s command to always rejoice.”
(Worry and Stress) “…communicate that it’s okay to sin and not trust God because the stuff in my life is somehow exceptional. Both worry and stress reek of arrogance.”
(okay really?!?!)
“Another important element of giving is with our time. Most of us are so busy that the thought of adding one more thing to our weekly schedule is stressful. Instead of adding in another thing to our lives, perhaps God wants us to give Him all of our time and let Him direct it as He sees fit.”

ouch. As the pastor used to say “amen or oh me” i resound a loud OH ME! Cause its dead on, but so hard to get ahold of.

crazy love is crazy radical. having read this book myself it messes with me daily. i’ll find myself thinking things or quoting things wondering where the heck that came from and then having an aha moment when i realize it was from this book. i actually finished this book for the second time earlier this week; each reading impacting me in a way that is different from the time before. will i read it a third? depends. depends on if God has gotten all He wants out of it for me!
