Thoughts on picturing…
A) I have no idea how people with a million kids manage to make it to photo sessions with all outfits, accessories, and children in tow. It took us 2 hours to get everything together, and we still forgot the kids’ shoes for the “brown & pink” theme.
B) Getting a 17-month-old to sit still and play the photography game is virtually impossible. Even with two parents and two grandparents clapping, whistling, acting silly, etc…she did as she pleased.
C) The people who take pictures of children in commercial photo-mill type places have excessive patience. I don’t know how they do it. Screaming kids, impatient parents, families lined up out the door….I’d lose my mind.
D) I heart Portrait Innovations. Yes, I’d love to get rockstar pictures taken by some of the cool photographers I admire, but I can go to Portrait Innovations and get a gazillion printed sheets AND the photo CD for less than the cost of a fancy-photo session fee alone. (Basically, I’m cheap. Because I got Dave Ramsied.)
So, with that being said, here’s the outcome:

These were more typical:

They make me laugh. I love taking pictures. I love looking at pictures. And though Nick isn’t fond of this game, I love it when our outfits coordinate.
Therefore, it was a good day.

These pictures are great!!! The photographers deserve BIG bucks for doing this job!! Kids and adults were everywhere. Do you think the Mom was serious who had the baby wearing a head band with a stuffed turkey in the front AND gold shoes?? The last four pictures are sooo funny and JUST the way it was. Tanner definitely ran the show no matter how hard Katelynn and SIX adults had other ideas.

You are so right about Portrait Innovations! I have never left there without spending, at least, $100, but I always have more than enough pictures to send to everyone who would ever even care a tiny bit about seeing my little family. It’s a fantastic bargain, and they do a really great job!
I love the brown and pink pics!!! What beautiful little ladies you have the honor of raising!

I totally hear ya! I just tried to get their Christmas pictures made and I am totally done! Trying to get a 9 month old and a 22 month old to sit still and smile is IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Oh well!

I take umbrage to the remark that Ramsey = cheap. Cheap is being a stingy miser, like not tipping wait staff. Cheap implies inferior quality. Having hung with the Moons I know that none of these traits are present. Producing a budget and sticking to it = smart. Hopefully this soapbox moment won’t have any effect on the production of my Thanksgiving peanut butter cake.
