our flowers are happy, but our kids are ready to go play outside!
we tried to entertain them today with inside fun…
first we went to Pigtails and Crewcuts for Tanner to get her hair cut.

then she watched while Katelynn got hers cut, too!

after that, both girls got their toes did…

katelynn made some rockstar swirly cupcakes in her cool new apron.

and then they were so “bored” they resulted to tickling each other on the couch for an hour.

we’re hoping that tomorrow brings sunshine and quality outside time! ![]()
5 days, 17 hours, and 20 minutes until Spring Break officially begins. if you’re counting.
One of my blog stalkers brought it to my attention that I haven’t blogged in a month. Oops.
Things have been insane in the Moon household lately. Here’s an update:
- Katelynn’s playing softball, Nick’s playing basketball, and Tanner’s still providing quality entertainment.
- Nick and I both went to the Unleash Conference this year — the conference was great and it was fun to go on a road trip together! If you missed it, you can watch the sessions here.
- Katelynn and I had a great time on her field trip to the King Tut exhibit and the Varsity. We both agreed that a video documentary would be way cooler than walking around in a cold, dark room and looking at old pieces of granite, but the onion rings were outstanding! (Ha. She’s so my kid.)
- I invented a “CRCT Challenge” for K-dizzle as testing approaches…if she does 30 minutes of CRCT computer practice 5 nights a week for the next 6 weeks, she gets a DS game of her choice. (Parents: please note, it’s costing me about $30 for my kid to study for 15 hours…totally worth it!) I made a sticker chart and everything…she digs it.
- Tanner’s currently obsessed with her new favorite book, “Blue Hat.” The funniest part is when she says “Siljy Tur-gey” (Silly Turkey!) She’s soo cute.
- Tanner’s spent more time in “mime-out” than in time-in at school lately… apparently she thinks it’s cool to push kids down. Not real sure what to do about that one.
- Tanner really wants her “brother” to arrive. She keeps pointing at my stomach and saying “Jax out? play?” (Jax, come out and play!) and she lays her head on me and says “Sssshhh! Baby sleeping!” She’s going to be a great big sister…I caught her rocking a baby doll to sleep the other day! Precious.
- Basically, all Nick and I do all day is count how many hours until we can come home and be with the girls…they’re awesome. We cherish nights we have nothing to do so we can just play in the back yard.
- Spring Break is in 2 weeks!
- Jax will be joining us in 11 weeks…we can’t hardly wait!
- Sunday at The Vine’s going to be off the chain! Make sure you’re there
Also, mark your calendars for Easter — 9:30 & 11:00.
