“Jaxson, I make you a easter bunny!!!”
(I wish you could hear her intonation.)
Poor little guy…

Rebecca, I don’t know if Katie (Hayes) has mentioned it to you, but I just had to write and let you know that I read your blog regularly and LOVE it! You remind me so much of myself (many years ago) with the same interests (children, family, baking) and ESPECIALLY the desire to be a stay-at-home mom! And after your last Twitter, I just had to write…In following your blog, I know that you have a heart for children, you are oozing with creativity, and you have many talents (including your wonderful cakes!). 26 years ago, I turned my love for children into an in-home day care business, and my love for baking into a means for additional income (from home) as well so that I could make my dream to be a stay-at-home mom come true. I would love to encourage you to do the same! You have so many gifts and talents–take your passion and your creativity and turn it into a means to be at home with your children!!! It was scary to give up my full-time income at first to go into business for myself, but I have never regretted it for a minute. Nancy just left for college and the week before she left we talked about what a blessing it had been that I had been able to be home while she was growing up, and it delighted me to find out it had meant as much to her as it had to me! Every time I read your blog it takes me right back to that place when I was a young mother just aching to be at home raising my family, and I just wanted to write you with some encouraging words to let you know that if you really want to make it happen, it can! I have no doubt that you will be a wonderful mother whether you are staying at home or working outside the home, but either way, I’m praying for you and your sweet family, and wish you all the best.
